Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Tours SoLa Impact's Beehive and Tech and Entrepreneurship Center

It was an honor to welcome Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti along with SoLa Impact investors, partners, sponsors, and friends to The Beehive and SoLa Technology and Entrepreneurship Center on Thursday. Mayor Garcetti, SoLa Impact and our stakeholders are committed to creating pathways for economic and educational opportunity for California’s Black and brown young people and communities. The Mayor toured the Beehive and met with several current and prospective tenants, and spoke about the importance of increased investment in communities like South and East LA. He then spoke with our Technology and Entrepreneurship Center SoLa Tech Scholars about being mayor and the importance of technology in learning and economic opportunity. He urged the students to dream big—answering their questions about how he's working to uplift their community, reduce homelessness, and spur economic development. He concluded his remarks by encouraging the students to become the future titans of technology, future innovators and community leaders... possibly even a future Ambassador to India!
